Website Small Business Grants

If you’re a small company with less than 10 employees and trading for more than 12 months, you might be entitled to a website small business grant.

Irish consumers spend €850,000 per hour online, 24 hours a day but amazingly,  just 23% of small Irish companies own an eCommerce website. This lack of online presence in Irish companies leads into 70% of the online Irish spend going overseas. Irish companies who do not trade online are really missing opportunities.

To encourage more small Irish companies to trade online the Department of Communications, Energy & Natural Resources (DCENR) is funding, on behalf of the government, website small business grants through The Online Voucher Scheme initiative. It is an initiative of the National Digital Strategy and it is administrated by the Local Enterprise Offices.

A survey of over 800 companies who already participated in the small business grant, Trading Online Voucher Scheme, found that they increased sales by 21% and leads by 84% and that the process helped them in business strategic planning.
